The Retired Faculty Association is happy to continue offering virtual seminars again this year. This fall, we are excited to be partnering with Professor Allen Lynch from the Department of Politics who will be presenting on "Causes and Consequences of the Russian War in Ukraine." The presentation will take place exclusively via Zoom on Monday, November 21 at 12:00 pm.

The interaction of three “factors” explains the Russian decision to go to war against Ukraine in late February 2022: Russian colonialism, American maximalism, and Ukrainian ethno-nationalism. Any durable solution to the war will thus have to entail significant changes in each of these elements.
