Monday, June 12, 2017 experience The Art Institute of Atlanta's Senior Runway Show, a celebration of fashion and style featuring senior student collections. The Catwalk for a Cause fashion show will benefit Global Paint for Charity. All of the donations from the show will go to the charity organization. The nonprofit recovers recycled paint to update homes for seniors, churches, schools and other organizations. Their efforts have changed lives and transformed communities throughout the world.

Attire for this event is fashionably chic, and guests are invited to wear ensembles that showcase personal style.

Before the show, guests will have the opportunity to network with other industry insiders and enjoy entertainment from some of Atlanta's emerging artist.

Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds is the Academic Program Coordinator over the Fashion Department at The Art Institute of Atlanta.   Prior to his career with the Art Institute, he served as the Assistant Human Resource Manager at Neiman Marcus (Atlanta, Georgia), former business partner of URUP Designs luxury women’s boutique (Atlanta, Georgia and Nassau, Bahamas) and Special Education specialist with the Muscogee County and Newton County school systems.    

Educationally, Dr. Courtney A. Hammonds completed his Doctoral Degree in Business Administration at Argosy University. His research explored Job Satisfaction Amongst Entry Level Human Resource professionals. He also earned a Master’s Degree in Business Administration (M.B.A.) from Keller Graduate School of Business Management and undergraduate degree in Special Education from Alabama State University.   Hammonds contributes his expertise through skills-based volunteerism by consulting on executive team effectiveness and performance management for non-profit organizations such as Easter Seals of North, Georgia and Susan G. Komen (Atlanta). 

He’s a sought after resource among the media and has been featured and quoted on NBC’s affiliate  Atlanta & Company , ABC, Bravo Network, TLC Network, The Career Magazine, Sheen Magazine, The Atlanta Magazine, Modern Luxury Magazine, The National Black Chamber of Commerce annual review, F.I.N.E. Success Magazine, and Georgia Magazine. This well rounded Renaissance man was named one of Modern Luxury magazine’s “best dressed men” in 2013.   Currently, Hammonds repertoire of clients are notables such as Project Runway Alumni, Lucille O’Neal, Belk Department stores, Macys department store, Neiman Marcus, Saks department store, GQ magazine, Glamour magazine, Gap department store, Hublot watches, Mezlan shoes , Readers Digest,  W Hotels, Fashion Week New Orleans  and many business executives from many of the nations most recognizable political and private business organizations. His motto is “Fashion belongs to everyone; it’s how you choose to wear it.”
