Who has a Monopoly on the Risks of Life in the classroom?

We'll give you a Clue!

Games & Gamification for Learning

The inclusion of game-like experiences in the classroom is a great way to engage students. This approach can be applied either by considering game design principles in the course layout or in activity preparation, or by directly using games as discrete learning resources. Come get concrete ways to incorporate these principles into your own teaching context to take learning and fun to the next level!

Presenters:

  • Sherry MacKay, Glocally Connected, "Effective Use of Games in the ESL Classroom"
  • Daniel Rueckert, Cal State Fullerton, "Best Tools & Practices for Gamifying the Classroom"
  • Brent Warner, Irvine Valley College & EdTech.tv, "Break into Breakout EDU"

Early bird tickets are limited, so register now!

  • Parking is complimentary.
  • Registration opens at 8:30 am; coffee & pastries will be served.
  • An optional no-host lunch will follow the workshop.
