"Go, Baptize, Make Disciples" is a Catechumenate Training Institute for congregations offered by the North American Association for the Catechumenate (NAAC) and hosted by the Lutheran Church of the Nativity in Arden, North Carolina--close to the Asheville Airport. It is open to pastors, seminarians, musicians, and lay leaders of ALL denominations who wish to learn how to introduce this journey of discipleship to their communities of faith. Participants will be immersed in the rites and rituals of this ancient-future Christian practice and experience all four stages of a faith formation process that invites people into baptismal living as disciples of Jesus. We encourage parish teams of two or more people to attend so they can learn together. Registration includes all meals and training materials. Cost is $175 per person or $125 per person for the first 25 who register (plus online service fee.) Full scholarships (including housing) are being offered to students and seminarians.
Housing is available at the discounted conference rate of $89 per night at the nearby Mountain Inn and Suites Airport Hotel. Participants must make their own reservations by calling 828-684-0040 and mention the event and Nativity Lutheran. Special discount rates are guaranteed only through April 4, 2017.
For more information contact Pastor Mark Fitzsimmons at email@example.com or call 828-684-0352. You may also download a brochure and schedule from the NAAC website: www.catechumenate.org.
NAAC is a registered non-profit, educational, and ecumenical organization. 3 CEU credit will be issued through Pacific Lutheran University and the Lutheran Institute for Theological Education (LITE) for participants requesting such documentation.
