Event Details

Melbourne Water is strengthening our collaboration with stakeholders in the way we manage waterways in the Westernport catchment. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to work together to create and shape the future of the Westernport Catchment.

We invite you to work with community and key stakeholders to discover opportunities and co-design solutions that will guide on-ground activities in the catchment over the next 10 years.

The collaborative series of workshops will bring people together to work on:

  • Developing a vision and set of goals for the catchment
  • Exploring key issues, opportunities and aspirations for everyone in the catchment (e.g. community values)
  • Identifying where we can focus our efforts and how we can make this happen – for example collaborating on targets and actions to achieve catchment goals

Our first workshop in the series will be on 19 October and will cover:

  • A snapshot of the catchment - including an overview and assessment of the condition of waterways in the catchment versus what we hoped for in the Healthy Waterways Strategy.
  • Key issues and opportunities in the Westernport catchment that need attention.
  • What does success look like when we work together in Collaborative Design?

Optional 30min tour after lunch - further details to be announced

This is an exciting opportunity to work together to create and influence the future of the Westernport Catchment!

Arrival tea/coffee, morning tea and lunch will be provided.

RSVP - Registration essential!

Registrations close Tuesday 17 October at 12noon. Please register via eventbrite to reserve your place.

Can't attend the workshop? Why not participate online! For those who can't come along to the first workshop or the entire series, there will be an opportunity to influence the strategy online via the Healthy Waterways Strategy engagement platform. Make sure you subscribe here to be kept informed of updates and opportunities.
