Join Zinc & UKRI for more information on how to join the Catalyst Counsel for the second round of recruitment for the UKRI HA Catalyst Award

About this Event

We are delighted to launch the recruitment round for year two of the UKRI Healthy Ageing Catalyst Awards as part of the UKRI Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund (ISCF) Healthy Ageing Challenge.

The Catalyst Awards will provide approximately 20 grants per year until 2023 for academics based at UK Research Organisations to explore new, innovative, ideas with the potential to transform the physical, mental or social well-being of people across the world as they age.

Successful applicants will benefit from a £62,500 (100% fEC) grant and a programme of innovation support, provided by Zinc, to turn the most innovative ideas into workable products and services.  Zinc is also working closely with UKRI to recruit the next cohort of Award applicants.

The Awards are part of the NAM Healthy Longevity Global Grand Challenge and award holders will be eligible for the later stages of that competition, including accelerator awards of up to $0.5 million USD and the $5 million USD Grand Prize.

Researchers working at any career level in fields related to healthy ageing are encouraged to apply. We are particularly keen to hear from early career researchers, those from an arts, humanities and social science background, and those whose discipline areas have been underrepresented in current healthy ageing scholarship.  We’ve created a series of events to guide applicants through an entrepreneurial recruitment process that focuses on idea development, desirability for users, scalability and sustainability post grant and storytelling.

Do you know a great candidate who you think would be eligible for this grant? Sign up to this event to learn more about the award and how you can become part of the ‘Catalyst Counsel’ of academics, KE and impact professionals who help to promote and recommend this opportunity within their networks.

Join Zinc and UKRI for a ‘Catalyst Counsel’ information session on Wednesday 9th December from 1-2pm or recommend a candidate here and we will get in touch with them directly. (This will be GDPR compliant)
