About this event

Military & Veteran Families at Free Friday

Free Fridays are back! The Intrepid Museum is once again extending its hours free of charge on select Fridays every month from April through September from 5:00pm-9:00pm. Watch a movie under the stars on Intrepid’s flight deck during our free summer movie series featuring classic films also celebrating their 40th anniversary!

Special Cat Shot Café Access

Current and former service members who register in advance enjoy exclusive access and complimentary refreshments on the Aircraft Elevator, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm, before the showing of Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan.

With advance registration, military and veteran families may also skip the general admission line and enter via the member line.

Visitors can explore the Museum and then enjoy the movie.

Movie Viewing Tips

The movie will begin at sunset.

Seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis and space is limited.

Guests are invited to bring lawn chairs, picnic baskets and blankets to view the films outdoors, free of charge, on a huge inflatable screen on the flight deck. Additional light concessions will be sold onsite, and visitors are encouraged to bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages.

All movies will have open captions.
