Additional Insured coverage is the cornerstone to a good risk management program and is often misunderstood. Insurance and legal issues can be described the same way a pilot can explain their job: “Hours of boredom interrupted by moments of terror.” That is why it is best to plan ahead and make sure that you have a quality contractual risk transfer program. In this session you will learn what the key issues are when naming an entity an additional insured or when requiring your company to be named as an additional insured. Additional Insured language can apply to ongoing work, completed work or both. Blanket additional insured endorsements can leave upstream parties uncovered. Find out how you can be sure your organization handles this key risk management issue properly. Ben Hammond will discuss actual additional insured endorsements in current use and provide real life examples of legal issues created by additional insured endorsements.
