Event description

Description

Join the Village of Castleton-on-Hudson and the Main Street Association for a cleanup and tree stump removal at Riverfront Park, the intersection of Scott Avenue and Main Street (Castleton-on-Hudson) on Saturday, May 5, 2018, for the 7th Annual Riverkeeper Sweep, a day of service for the Hudson River and its tributaries.

Volunteers will meet at the end of Scott Ave on Main Street, where parking will be available along Main Street. We ask all Sweep volunteers to wear sturdy shoes or boots, clothing that they can get dirty, and bring a hat, sunscreen, a reusable water bottle, and snacks. If you own trail clearing equipment such as tree trimming tools, chainsaws, AND necessary safety equipment, please bring them to Sweep. This site is NOT appropriate for elementary-age children.

Questions? Contact Riverkeeper at sweep@riverkeeper.org or site leader Robert Schmidt at BSchmidt0802@gmail.com.

Sweep would not be possible without the support of Riverkeeper volunteers and members. Magnify your impact at Sweep by joining our Sweep Crowdrise campaign! When you build your own Crowdrise team or join an existing one, you demonstrate your commitment to a trash-free Hudson and inspire your network to support Riverkeeper's work to protect the Hudson River and its tributaries. You and your Crowdrise supporters will become Riverkeeper members, and the more members we have standing with us, the more we can accomplish together.
