About this Event
Join a small tour group of 10 people on Saturday, December 12, and experience one of the most festive and Christmassy activities in town at Old Fort Niagara! Groups of 10 people will leave the Visitor Center every 10 minutes and tour the French Castle's Trade Room, Johnson Room and Lower Guard Room... see and smell historic cooking in the Bake House... listen to Native American songs and stories by the Hot Shot Battery... enjoy free refreshments in the Log Cabin and a bonfire with a storyteller... plus witness the celebratory feu de joie firing of muskets and cannon at either 7:30 or 8:40 p.m.!
Old Fort Niagara’s 1726 French Castle will be decorated for the season by the Youngstown Garden Club and illuminated by candlelight for these special tours. (Due to COVID capacity restrictions, only the 1st floor of the Castle will be accessible on tours this season.)
Castle by Candlelight is a seasonal fundraiser that benefits our educational programming. As you know, this has been a tough year, so we truly appreciate your interest in attending.
Tickets are $20.00 per person and available through Eventbrite only. Guests will be required to wear facial coverings and practice social distancing.
Rain/snow date is Saturday, December 19, 2020. The postponement would be announced on Friday, Dec. 11, at www.oldfortniagara.org and by email to ticketholders. The rain date tours would be valid for the same ticket time slot on Dec. 19.
Please call Old Fort Niagara if you have questions: (716) 745-7611.
