CASM is a valuable tool, particularly during a large scale incident or exercise, but its value is dependent on two things: 1) the information contained in the tool, and 2) the ability of the user to manipulate the information in the tool for their communications purposes.
End user administrative training for Communication Assets Survey and Mapping Tool, or CASM, as it relates to public safety entities and their use of that resource. The relevant nature of CASM should be discussed and demonstrated including:
• Entering or editing point of contact information,
• resource allocation,
• site information, and
• Interoperability resources.
This course includes a classroom portion as well as a practical exercise.
Prerequisites: CASM familiarization training or CASM Level 1 workshop.
