Case Studies & Cocktails: Ladybird Johnson MS
Tuesday, November 12, 2013 from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM (CST)
Lady Bird Johnson Middle School in Irving is the largest net-zero middle school in the US. Educators and building professionals from all over the world have toured this facility, not only to learn how the building was constructed, but also to see how the healthy environment affects the success and well being of the students.
This is your opportunity to tour the school, which generates its own power through geothermal, wind, and solar photovoltaics. Live monitors allow students, faculty, staff and visitors to exactly what resources are being used at any given time.
Members of the design team will lead the discussion and tour, and discuss the design decisions that went into building the school.
