About the organizer
CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Western Wisconsin is a non-profit organization the pairs specially trained advocates with children in need in the Foster Care System. The advocates meet with the child once a week and serve as a point of adult stability for the child, and are able to advocate on behalf of the child's needs. The CASA of Western Wisconsin program started in Barron County in early 2020, and is designed to expand to adjacent counties. Presently, there are over 100 children in Barron County alone that need a CASA. The mission statement of the organization reads - CASA Of Western Wisconsin serves as the voice of abused and/or neglected children through high quality advocacy delivered by community volunteers.
