Cary Institute Spring Amphibian Egg Hunt

On Sunday, March 25th at 1 p.m. join educators for a family-friendly guided hike on the grounds of the Cary Institute.
Explore vernal pools and discover early spring life while searching for amphibian egg masses. Learn about the extraordinary diversity of life that inhabits vernal pools as well as their ecological importance. Participants should be prepared for the possibility of getting their feet wet!
The hike will begin at our auditorium parking lot, located at 2801 Sharon Turnpike (Rte. 44) in Millbrook, N.Y. In the event of severe weather, the program will cancelled. Parts of the 2,000 acre research campus have been reserved for public education and enjoyment including hiking trails and internal roadways.
