SKI TUCKERMAN'S RAVINE
Dad was the Ultimate Ski Dad. What are some qualities of this "Ski Dad"? He would take us night skiing on weeknights at Bradford, organized chili meals for Drew's Colgate Ski Team, encouraged the snowboard urchin daughter that a bronze NASCAR pin was still acceptable, carried an extra snickers for when the family got hangry, bought my mom a onesie bunny suit so she could stay on the slopes longer, and knew all the secret hidden "pow" gems only locals would know.
The Ultimate Ski Dad also has a knack for making friends. One of his most obvious passions was tearing up the slopes with friends and family, including a Spring Skiing weekend at Mount Washington. The magic of skiing Tucks is beyond the rustic bunkbeds, topographic map of Mt. Washington next to Ravine stickers, and jaw dropping view from the bottom of the bowl. The magic is in the shared snacks on the warm rocks before and after you ski, it is in the bag-weighing competitions at the base of the path, it is in the mud and sticks you have to jump over on Hellman's Highway on your way down.
We hope to share the magic of Dad with all of our friends and family Sping 2017. You don't have to ski. You don't have to hike. You do need to bring a good vibe and some fun card games :)
Don't forget that "cotton kills"...Pack lightweight, loose-fitting, long pants that dry quickly.
