Description

We are thrilled to be welcoming the phenomenal Caroline Kay to the AIHS on Thursday June 28th, 2018. Please join us for a private performance and wine reception/meet and greet with Caroline at 7pm.

After moving to London and graduating with a Masters Degree in Musical Theatre Performance from Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts, Dublin-born Caroline made her professional debut playing the lead role of Jenny Cavilleri in the off-West End production of Love Story. Since then, Caroline has performed at a range of concerts with many industry professionals from both the West End and Broadway such as Shoshana Bean, Natalie Weiss, Scott Alan, and writing duos Webborn & Finn and Dan & Laura Curtis.

Though auditioning in the West End with the goal of a career in Musical Theatre, Caroline is always working on one creative project or another. Last year she independently released an original EP called ‘Notes’, which went straight to number 1 in the Irish iTunes Album Charts and number 2 in the U.K. Singer/Songwriter Charts. She is now delighted to be able to perform her original solo concert, ‘Notes & Other Stuff” in NYC after its initial premier in her home city of Dublin.

As the title suggests, the gig will include the songs from her EP, plus plenty of ‘other stuff’! Along with a few well-known tunes, Caroline’s love of Musical Theatre will be evident in much of the set-list with songs from the West End and Broadway, as well as some premier performances of songs from the new original Irish musical she is writing.

With the help of London-based Composer, Arranger, and Musical Director, Tom Lees on piano, Caroline hopes to take you on an entertaining journey through the ups and downs of her creative, musical life since moving to London!
