Description

The Fox International Fellowship is a graduate student exchange program between Yale University and other world-renowned partner universities including ANU. Fox International Fellows are selected for their potential to become leaders in fields that are policy significant, historically informed, and socially meaningful.

This seminar will be chaired by Prof. Imelda Whelehan, Dean HDR and the guest speaker is Caroline Compton.

Caroline is ANU’s most recent Yale Fox Fellow and will be speaking about her experiences at Yale during the 2017-18 US academic year. Her thesis topic was on inter-legalities, natural disaster, and relocation projects, from the ANU College of Law. She completed her PhD while at Yale, and undertook courses at Yale Law School and the School of Forestry and Environmental Science. She is currently a post-doctoral research associate on the 'Data Science in Humanitarianism: Confronting Novel Law and Policy Challenges’ project at the University of New South Wales.

Staff and students are welcome to attend to learn more about the Fox International Fellowship. Afternoon tea will be provided and application information will be available for the 2019 intake which will open mid-October 2018 and close on the 14th of December 2019.
