Event description
Take a RECESS break with the Carole Robertson Center for Learning as we celebrate our mission and invaluable community of supporters.

About this Event

As one of the largest early childhood and youth development anchor organizations in Chicago, the Carole Robertson Center for Learning is hosting our Annual Celebration virtually this year on May 6, 2021 from 6:00 - 7:00pm. This year’s Annual Celebration theme is RECESS! After the year we’ve had due to COVID-19, let’s take a RECESS break to have fun, celebrate, and be reminded how critical play is to each child’s learning and development.

During this night of celebration, we will hear from our Chicago Public Schools' Chief Education Officer LaTanya McDade in her keynote address, and honor our 2020 and 2021 Curba Merrill Friend of the Center Award Honorees: Old Town School of Folk Music and Patricia Van Pelt, State Senator from Illinois' 5th District. We hope that you'll join us for this night of fun and celebration as we raise resources that are critical to carrying out our mission and vision. Your support will go directly to helping the Carole Robertson Center for Learning carry out our mission of educating, enriching, and empowering children and families through comprehensive child and youth development programming.
