Event Details

The place to be for anyone who appreciates Classical Music, Monday, October 17th, is Weill Recital Hall at Carnegie Hall. It is not often we can present a Scandinavian Debut of this caliber, anywhere.

Our own Cultural Grant recipients, the outstanding Coucheron sibling: Julie (piano) and David (violin) from Norway will have their debut in Carnegie Hall at 8pm that day.

They have thrilled us before, but now, at 25 and 27 - David already in his 2nd year as Concert Master of Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, and Julie, performing everywhere after receiving her Masters with top Honors at the Royal Academy in London - they are ready to take on Carnegie Hall.  They will perform two of Grieg's most romantic and challenging Sonatas, works by Norwegian composer's Kvandal and Sinding, and Carmen Fantasie by the American, Waxman.

Please join us for Dinner at 5:45pm at Nino's Tuscany, 117 West 58th St, a block from Carnegie Hall, where a special three-course meal is prepared for us. (Coffee or Tea are included, but other beverages is up to you and will be billed to you separately).

Parking is available next door to the Restaurant, ENTERPRISE, 105 W 58th, a special price for us, $18 from 5pm - Midnight.

Your ticket's will be brought to the restaurant and we will stroll over to Carnegie Hall around 7:40pm.

A champagne reception is planned after the concert at Rue 57, 57th Street and 6th Avenue.

Please come, enjoy and support David and Julie, and make sure we fill up Weill recital Hall with friends and music lovers.

We are looking forward to seeing you there, in the meantime you can listen to YouTube, for example David and Julie playing Grieg's Sonata No 2 in G Major Opus 13, mvt 3:  www.youtube.com/watch?v=b-83z5MiIck
