Event description

Description

Come be whisked away with us on a culinary discovery of Cuba. At the end of a bumpy dirt road, windswept and lined with palm trees, relax and enjoy the musical rumba of the night. Join us in exploring the beauty, foods, and drinks of the Little Havana. Bring your best Cuban attire and dip your feet in the sand with the tropical breeze blowing through, and the sound of the ocean soothing away your troubles. The noche will include five delicioso courses as well as wine to accompany the meal. In addition, a cash bar and complimentary passed hors d'oeuvres will be served.

OCC's award-winning Culinary Studies Institute hosts the last themed dinner of the 2016-2017 season. Under the watchful eyes of chef instructors, CSI students research, plan, prepare and serve a five-course meal including wines specially selected to complement the meal. The evening's mood is set at a cocktail hour before the dinner with specialty hors d'oeuvres passed for your sampling, and a cash bar offers beverages concocted to reflect the evening's theme as well as a selection of wines and beer.

Bakery and Pastry Goods Sale:

At each dinner event, the Pastry Chefs and their students create specialty products for you to purchase and enjoy at home. The bake shop opens at 4:00 pm to allow ample time to shop for specialty breads, coffee cakes, cookies, tortes and candies. Many items freeze well. You do not need to attend the dinner to shop our bakery goods sale. Bakery is also located on the 3rd floor of J-Building (J-308)--let the fantastic aromas lead you to us
