Carl Palmer: Stopping to Smell the ROSIES
Tuesday, December 1, 2015 from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM (PST)
On December 1, 2015, ROSIES Foundation and music legend Carl Palmer come together for an intimate evening of food, drink, art, and discussion. Palmer, known for his extensive catalog of work with bands Emerson, Lake and Palmer as well as ASIA and having sold 50 million albums worldwide, will be on hand to meet guests and sit down for a formal Question & Answer session to discuss his career and the art of collaborating with others.
Palmer will also be discussing and showcasing 10 works on canvas of his latest artwork, crafted from rhythm and laid to canvas – a new medium in art. A portion of art sales from the evening will go to ROSIES Foundation.
ROSIES' goal is to create sustainable, purpose-driven entrepreneurial ventures and combine them with opportunities that facilitate transformative communal, social, and employment experiences for individuals, families, and businesses seeking unique resources and support. Our value prop is the ROSIES experience and our first 4Purpose Venture™ will be the POP Bus, which will inspire, promote, and support more accessible employment opportunities and distinctive experiences for people with diverse abilities*.
ROSIES POP Bus is a mobile dessert experience that will provide more than a simple transaction, but also will encourage meaningful experiences for our customers, our employees, and the general community. We also want to encourage our employees to interact with customers through casual conversation that adds to the customer experience and encourages repeat purchases. The POP Bus will feature greeters, karaoke, other interactive elements, and will be booked for events with the support of roaminghunger.com.
*ROSIES uses the term “diverse abilities” to promote an open and positive approach to working with colleagues, including those with a disability. We focus on ability – including the expertise, experience, insight, potential and personal qualities that a person can contribute to the job they are being hired to do.
