Description

At our "dLOC Partner Training" Dr. Alex Gil, editor of Sx: Archipelagos, will be conducting a lecture on Data Curation and Caribbean Digital Humanities for faculty and graduate students. This lecture will explore current trends in Caribbean Digital Humanities. In the Data Curation workshop, he will introduce the audience to Minimal Computing techniques. Participants will have hands on training to start Digital Humanities projects using various platforms. On Tuesday, February 19th, Alex Gil, also a HASTAC steering committee member (the Humanities, Arts, Sciences, and Technology Collaboratory), will work with dLOC's HASTAC fellows on the Frederick Douglass Day transcrib-a-thon with the Colored Conventions Project.
