Register for Philadelphia's FREE CARES Glaucoma Conference Today!

The CARES Conference in Philadelphia is the only known educational program where several ophthalmologists, leading experts who specialize in glaucoma, volunteer their time to speak directly to patients, caregivers, and at-risk family members on recent updates, treatment options and information on symptoms, risk factors, and support services.

Representatives from Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped, Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Pennsylvania’s Initiative on Assistive Technology (PIAT), Institute on Disabilities at Temple University, Associated Services for the Blind, Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging and the Glaucoma Research Center are among those scheduled to attend.

The CARES (Committed to Awareness through Research, Education, and Support) Conference is produced by the Glaucoma Service Foundation to Prevent Blindness, located at Wills Eye Hospital. The day-long event, sponsored by The Robison D. Harley Fund for Glaucoma Education and Research, and is free to the public and focusing on all things glaucoma.

Glaucoma is the leading cause of blindness and currently affects nearly 3 million people in the USA. Since 2007, patients and their families have attended this free conference from Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, New York and from across the county.
