About our presenter:

Becky Moseley, Staff Attorney with Legal Aid of Northwest Texas.

Becky Moseley grew up in Dallas County and attended The University of Texas at Austin, where she graduated a Bachelor of Arts in Government. After college she worked as a legislative aide in the Texas House of Representatives and her decision to go to law school was inspired by the great number of low-income constituents who would call her searching for affordable civil legal services.

While attending law school at the University of Chicago, she participated in multiple low-income legal clinics focusing on family law litigation, the mental health needs of Chicago residents, and reentry advocacy for ex-offenders. After law school, Becky worked at the Children and Family Law Division of Massachusetts’ public defender agency, appointed by the court to represent children and indigent parents in cases brought by child protective services. In 2015, Becky returned to Texas to work at the McKinney office of Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas (LANWT), litigating landlord-tenant, family, and other civil cases for low-income clients, filling the same need for quality legal services that first inspired her to pursue a legal career. Becky also serves as an adjunct Professor of Practice at UNT Dallas College of Law, training and supervising law students in case handling.
