Join Tufts Gordon Institute, the hub of leadership, innovation, management, and entrepreneurship within Tufts School of Engineering, as a virtual panel of industry-expert faculty share insights into careers in technology - and how you can leverage your academic journey to advance your career.

For thirty years, we have provided students with the knowledge and skills they need to lead both teams and entire companies. Today, we offer undergraduate, graduate, and professional education programs taught by faculty who have excelled in industry, have started and run their own companies, and know what it takes to succeed in today's complex world.

Featured Panelists

Elaine Chen

Elaine is the Cummings Family Professor of the Practice of Entrepreneurship and Director of the Derby Entrepreneurship Center. Elaine brings a wealth of experience to Tufts, having served as an engineering and product management VP at six companies, including Rethink Robotics, Zeo, Zeemote, and SensAble Technologies. She has brought numerous hardware and software products to market and holds 22 patents. As Founder and Managing Director of ConceptSpring, a corporate innovation and entrepreneurship consulting company, Elaine helps corporate leaders build entrepreneurial organizations via innovation consulting and custom training programs to clients in industries ranging from healthcare IT, industrial automation and robotics, consumer electronics to retail innovation, FinTech, non-profits, government agencies and more. Elaine received her BS and MS degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Samuel Liggero

Dr. Samuel H. Liggero is the Academic Director of Tufts Gordon Institute's MS in Engineering Management program and a Professor of the Practice. Samuel spent over thirty years in the Imaging Industry as an executive at Polaroid Corporation. After joining Polaroid in 1970, he held leadership positions in research and development, manufacturing, sales and marketing, training and education, and customer service. Since leaving Polaroid, he started a consulting business and also co-founded AirPrint Networks. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Fordham University, a Ph.D. in Physical Organic Chemistry from Georgetown University, and was an NIH Postdoctoral Fellow at Princeton University.

Kevin Oye

Kevin Oye is the Executive Director of Tufts Gordon Institute, the Director of the MS in Innovation & Management program, and a Professor of the Practice. Kevin joins the Tufts faculty with 35 years of experience leading product development, corporate strategy, and merger and acquisition teams. As a board member, company officer, executive, and engineer, Kevin led initiatives where new products and technologies drove industry transformations in both startups and large corporations. Kevin currently mentors at the non-profit EforAll business accelerator and provides advisory and consulting services to startups and corporations. He received his BS in Electrical Engineering from Tufts, and his MS in Electrical Engineering from Stanford University.

Chandni Sanariya

Chandni Sanariya is a Software Development Manager at Buildium, a RealPage company. Over the last decade, Chandni has grown her career primarily in the SaaS industry. She received her BS in Electrical Engineering and MS in Engineering Management from Tufts University.
