You are invited to a workshop on the topic of careers in non-profit organizations and in corporate departments which focus on community involvement, “social good”, and social responsibility.

Tuesday, June 20 at 6pm on Zoom.

Are you a job hunter and have thought about working in a more meaningful, mission driven, organization and want to explore nonprofits? If you want to explore what a transition from a career in “for profit” to a career in non- profit may include, this career discussion with experts is for you!

This event will be a speaker panel with experts who are senior leaders talking about work and hiring at non- profit organizations. Our experts have first-hand experience having made the transition to nonprofit work They will candidly answer your questions and share tips for job hunters interested in entering non-profit work and advancing careers in philanthropic work.

Topics that will be covered include: - What is a good way to break into the field of corporate philanthropy and corporate social responsibility?

- How to stand out and be perceived as especially valuable as a candidate for a non-profit?

- If a job hunter is in the “for-profit world” now, how does he /she figure out what the jobs are and what the job titles mean in nonprofits?

- As a job hunter, how do you look at your own skill set and pick out what will be transferable and valuable to non-profit organizations?

- Are the interview questions for nonprofit jobs somewhat different than interview questions you would expect to be asked in the for-profit world?

- What are some of the best reasons to work at a non-profit?

- Can you work in non-profits and then move to for profit or is that really hard to accomplish?

- Are non-profits a good choice for those over 40 to find new careers?

- What is the day-to-day work like? Do you have the right software and tools that support the work?

- Are there always budget worries working in non- profits?
