Careers for Linguists Beyond the Academy

Join us for an informal evening of fun and discussion about careers beyond the academy. With food! Ask lots of questions - no question is a stupid question.

Meet actual linguists with job titles like Senior Strategist, UX Researcher, Data Scientist, Knowledge Engineer, and Senior Analytical Linguist.

Students and faculty advisors from across the humanities and social sciences are welcome. Bring a friend, classmate or colleague.

The fine print:

• Funds raised from ticket sales go toward food, room rental and other event expenses. Organizers are donating their time.
• No one will be turned away for lack of funds. Show up.
• This is not a job fair. Do not ask the organizers for job openings.
• Donations gratefully accepted to offset expenses, subsidize a student, and build the SIG's capacity to repeat this event in other locations and venues.
