Career Positioning: Strategically Mapping Your Early Career Development

Join ACHE of Western PA on April 25 for an education event focusing on the nuts and bolts of career planning. It will explore steps an individual should take within his or her organization and in the surrounding community to reach the next level in his or her career.

Moderator: Carrie Ennis, FACHE, MBA - Ms. Ennis is a Director in the Strategic Planning Department at UPMC with primary focus on the northern markets. Her additional responsibilities include board governance and community benefit reporting at UPMC Hamot. Ms. Ennis earned her Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy from John Carroll University, and her MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Administration from Cleveland State University.

 

Panelists:

  • David Markiewicz, PT, DPT - Dr. Markiewicz is the Director of Orthopedic and Neuroscience service lines at Saint Vincent Hospital, and some of his responsibilities include Orthopedic services, Sports Medicine/Athletic Training services, Rehab services. He has over 19 years’ experience in both clinical and hospital administration. He is currently pursuing his Fellowship status through ACHE and his MHA at Penn State. He earned his Bachelors and Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Daeman College.
  • George G. Couch, MBA, FACHE, NHA, PhD -  Dr. Couch is a member of the Faculty, teaching health care management and business at Gannon University’s Dahlkemper School of Business. He received his Doctorate in Healthcare Administration and Leadership from the Medical University of South Carolina in May of 2017. He obtained his Master’s in Business Administration from West Virginia University and his Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies at Bethany College, West Virginia.
  • Michael Post, FACHE, MBA, MHA - Mr. Post is the Chief Executive Officer of Clarion Psychiatric Center in Clarion, PA and Adjunct Faculty for Clarion University of Pennsylvania in the College of Business Administration and Information Sciences. He earned his MBA and MHA from Army-Baylor University. He also holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Michael earned his Six Sigma Black Belt and Lean certification through Villanova University.
