Friday 5th July, 2013 in the Communication Center at DKFZ Heidelberg
Science communication with the general public is important to all scientists. Some scientists go on to become professional communicators - they now work as journalists, bloggers, moderators, writers and corporate communication specialists. Have you ever wondered who is behind the scenes of scientific newspaper articles, popular science magazines, TV/radio shows or science education? Or what it would take to become a journalist yourself? For our DKFZ-HBIGS "Science Communication" Career Day we invited guests from the Press and Public Relations Offices at DKFZ and EMBL, Corporate Communication at companies and science journalists to give us a sneak peak and some insights in their work. Communication with the public is often done in the local language (German), but many professionals work at an international level and all talks at the Career Day will be in English. Just like our previous Career Days, participants can register to have lunch or coffee with one of the speakers and some of their colleagues for informal discussions.
Please book a ticket for only ONE lunch table (including seminars) or only the seminars. The event is open to all interested from Heidelberg and outside.
