Description

Making A Successful Career Transition: Roadmap for Change

Making a career transition can be bewildering: how do you find jobs? How can you stand out as a candidate? And, if you finally get an interview, how do you showcase yourself as the best candidate? This workshop will walk participants through each step of making a career transition. Through interactive exercises, we will cover strategies in personal branding, networking, résumé and LinkedIn profiles, and job interviewing.

You'll leave the workshop with a roadmap and more confidence for making a career transition into a role you love.

Takeaways:

  • Develop a career transition roadmap and steps to take in securing your dream job
  • Update your "personal brand," résumé , and LinkedIn profile
  • Learn strategies and develop comfort with networking and job interviewing

The schedule includes a one-hour break for lunch on your own.

About the instructors:

Rebecca Andersen is Director of Career Services at the UC Berkeley Information School. A career changer herself, Rebecca is a popular career workshop leader and frequently presents to mid-career professionals and career changers.
