Description

The purpose of CARE Talks, or Comprehensive Addiction Empowerment Talks, is to provide information to communities around the country about the addiction epidemic and recovery from substance use disorders. Advocates, people in recovery, and people who have had contact with our criminal justice system will deliver short talks on the problems of the addiction epidemic and the solutions available.

The first CARE Talks event in Richmond will be held on October 7th, 2017 from 5-10 PM at the Virginia Historical Society. This event is hosted by The McShin Foundation, Virginia Recovery Foundation, Real Life, The Healing Place, and CARITAS.

Speakers include Karen Stanley of The Healing Place, more to be anounced.
