Here's How It Works... CARE Level 2 Volunteer Training (CARE=Canine Adoption Readiness & Enrichment)

 

When?
Please note that the time for this class is 11 AM- 1 pm on alternating SaturdaysYou should register at least 48 hours in advance of the date you wish to attend. For safety reasons, the class size is limited to 15 volunteers. 


Who is CARE Level 2 For? 

This training class is for AAF volunteers who have completed Level 1/General Orientation-CARE program (Dogs) and who want to learn more about working with AAF's dogs.

 

What Is Included in this Class? 

This 2-hour indoor program covers: kennel safety procedures, canine body language, clicker training exercises to reduce stress in dogs and improve adoptability, cleaning for wellness protocols, enrichment & Kong preparation, etc. Participants must be an AFF volunteer 15 years of age or older. Note: CARE LEVEL 3 will cover outdoor activities such as dog walking, using the agility equipment, etc. 

 

How Do I Register?

To register, go to: http://carelevel2ataaf.eventbrite.com  and use the "register" button at the top of the page. Pick the date you'd like to attend and you'll be guided through a brief and hopefully painless process of signing up. From there, all you need to do is show up on the date you've chosen to attend Level 2.

Note: If it turns out that you will not be able to attend the session you signed up for, please send a message to the address noted here: eileenudry@mac.com. This will allow us to make room in the class for another volunteer. Thank you for your consideration of other volunteers on this matter!
