Event description

Description

Come out to the Hungry Brain for a night of storytelling and music in order to benefit Chicago House’s Scattered-Site Housing Department, which provides rental assistance and support services to community members experiencing homelessness and chronic illness throughout the Chicagoland area. Storytellers, artists, and members of the community have been invited to share stories of love, loss, and the enduring spirit of compassion that lays the foundation of organizations like the Chicago House. Angel Bat Dawid will be on hand to spin a sonic thread to pull the audience along the ebbs and flows of the storytellers. And anonymous performance artists, The Bumbys will provide “A Fair and Honest Appraisal of Your Appearance” using nothing more than analog typewriters and charming wit. Care 2 Share is not only an invite to our performers to open their experiences to a room full of people it is also a call to action for the audience to contribute their support to the staff of the Chicago House so they can better serve their clients and people in need within the greater Chicagoland area.
