About the CCSS rowing clinic
The Cardio Code Sports Science Rowing Clinic for Fitness Professionals is specifically designed for those working with, or have an interest in general fitness, sports, rowing, health, cardio, muscular development and body aesthetics. While programming and periodization will be covered at an introductory level during the two day rowing clinic, the full details of how to manage programming and periodize for perpetual progress will be covered during the Power10Method 1-day workshop. The Power10Method 1-day workshop will be open to everyone with experience in rowing and a basic understanding of programming structure and periodization but in order to also certify as a Cardio Code Sports Science instructor both the 2-day rowing clinic and the 1-day Power10Method workshop have to be attended.
The outline for the 2-day Cardio Code Sports Science Rowing Clinic is as follows:
Day 1: 10.30am to 8.00pm
Establishing a basic framework and theory of the cardiovascular system, how it responds to training, how it ages and what specifically to pay attention to.
An in-depth analysis of why rowing is the king of cardiovascular exercises but also contraindications and the few limitations it has.
Covers the basic rowing mechine setup and technique- learning posture perfect rowing with proper drive sequence and how to get the most information out of the monitor.
Day 2: 9.30am to 7.00pm
Dedicated to advanced rowing technique- breathing pattern strategies, how to pace, upper and lower body integration, mobility and flexibility requirements and how to avoid rowing specific injuries.
Covers training and racing strategies and why polarized periodization surpasses any other known strategy for cardio power and health. You will be introduced to a systematic approach of developing all aspects of energy turnover.
Critical nutrition strategies for power development, what supplementation is worthwhile and the key auxiliary gym exercises used by top rowing athletes.
Two full days, six in-depth sessions and the plan and knowledge to increase performance by at least 10% in 4 weeks regardless of current level!
