Cardiff March for Science
Sat, April 22, 2017, 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM BST
The March for Science is a global, multi-city initiative that celebrates science as an essential foundation of human progress, prosperity and freedom. We stand together as a diverse, nonpartisan group to support science that benfits the common good, and politicians and policymakers who enact evidence-based policies in the public's interest.
On Saturday the 22nd of April scientists and science enthusiasts will join in this massive, diverse, and celebratory demonstration of public support for science that highlights challenges facing the scientific community and will act as a catalyst for ongoing action around specific issues.
The Cardiff March for Science will be a celebration of science in Wales and Wales’ role in the global science community. We will be supporting and celebrating the fact that Welsh science is world science and championing diversity, inclusivity and collaboration. The event will be fun, informative and inspirational and will be open and accessible to all.
The exact route is being finalised but we will start on the steps of The Senedd in Cardiff Bay where there will be some speeches before we march together towards the Techniquest Science Discovery centre.
ALL ARE WELCOME!
