Event description
An overview of the U.S Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) work in Carbon Neutral Aviation

About this Event

This webinar will provide attendees with an opportunity to learn about of the U.S Department of Energy’s Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy (ARPA-E) work in Carbon Neutral Aviation.   This event is part of Entrepreneur Futures Network's (EFN) Webinar Series.

The presenter will provide an inside look at two of ARPA-E’s programs overall but specifically in the Carbon Neutral Aviation space. Participants will learn about the agency’s work in this area and to better understand challenges and and technology and market opportunities in this exciting field.

Our presenter, Dr. Rakesh Radhakrishnan, currently serves as a Technology-to-Market Advisor at ARPA-E.  In his current role, he works closely with ARPA-E’s program directors to develop new applied research programs for the energy sector and supports the commercialization efforts of the awardees in those programs.

ARPA-E provides R&D funding for high-potential, high-impact energy technologies that are too early for private-sector investment. ARPA-E programs are designed to radically improve U.S. economic prosperity, national security, and environmental sustainability.  The agency engages and collaborates closely with America's energy researchers to deliver these breakthrough technologies through funding, technical and commercialization assistance.

ARPA-E programs are created to rapidly address significant energy challenges through innovative technology. The webinar will provide examples of current and alumni programs, as well as explore the Carbon Neutral Aviation Programs in greater detail.

The webinar will conclude with a summary of ARPA-E’s open solicitations, future areas of interest, and the best ways to engage with the agency to help shape the future of the U.S. energy ecosystem.

There will be plenty of time for Q&A.

This webinar is in collaboration with the Empower Innovation Network, a global platform to connect cleantech innovators with funding sources and collaborators worldwide.  Empower Innovation is funded by the California Energy Commission.
