We are sad to announce that we are canceling the Capturing the Spirit of Oakland Halloween tours for 2020.
For each of our big special events, we are required to get a special event permit from the City of Atlanta. Unfortunately, with the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the City is not currently issuing event permits.
At checkout, you selected one of two options in case we had to cancel the tours: defer your ticket to Capturing the Spirit of Oakland 2021 or donate your ticket to the Foundation. Those of you who elected to “defer to 2021” will receive information via email next spring regarding getting your tickets for next year’s tours.
We are producing a “virtual" Capturing the Spirit of Oakland experience that will capture some of the atmosphere and experience that you would get by coming to Oakland. We’ll send all of our ticketholders the link and password to access the film on October 29. Stay tuned for more information.
If you ordered a Capturing the Spirit of Oakland tee or hoodie, we will mail it to you.
