Description
1. YOU shoot the films.
2. THEY edit them.
3. WE all watch movies about our two cities in CAPTURE
A unique 48-hour crowd-sourced film challenge taking place in Kansas City and Chattanooga, CAPTURE invites you to shoot five, 30-second video clips of your city around a theme in one day. Then, the next day, teams of professional editors and musicians take the footage and turn it into short films. Finally, we all get together and watch the films and party!
On Sept. 18-20, Gigabit cities Chattanooga and Kansas City challenge people in both cities to shoot and submit film clips around a specific theme (TBA Friday night). Founded by AVA in 2013, the Capture Film Project joins you with professional filmmakers, editors and musicians to create short films that highlight our two cities.
The event will take place at the end of TechWeek in Kansas City, Sept. 18-20, 2015.
Capture is organized in Kansas City by KC Digital Drive, the KC Film + Media Office and Film Society KC. It is organized in Chattanooga by AVA.
Ways to Participate:
There are three ways you can be a part of Capture 2015.
Option 1. SHOOT & ATTEND: Register as Capture Community Filmmaker and Attend the Premiere Event
Choose this if you want to register as a Capture Community Filmmake and also attend the Capture Premiere Event.
Cost: $20, limit 1 per person
Get into the Capture creative process by recording and submitting video, then join us at the Capture Premiere Event to see your creations come to life! We'll screen the competing films, listen to live music from the Capture Musicians and see the award for Best In Show 2015.
Please note that since this option includes you receiving password access to our Capture 2015 video upload, only one order per person can be processed at the online check-out.
Option 2. SHOOT ONLY: Register as Capture Community Filmmaker Only
This is if you want to register as a Capture Community Filmmaker but you do not want a ticket to the Premiere Event.
Cost: $10, limit 1 per person
Be a part of the Capture 2015 creative process. Use your smartphone, DSLR, video camera...anything that captures decent quality video. Our past two years of contributors have had a blast!
Please note that since this option includes you receiving password access to our Capture 2015 video upload, only one order per person can be processed at the online check-out.
Option 3. ATTEND ONLY: Come to the Premiere Only
Purchase tickets to the Capture Premiere Event only and do not contribute film.
Cost: $15, no limit per person
