Event description

Description

Five hundred years ago, God used Martin Luther to initiate a series of events that would make the Word of God available to the common man in the everyday vernacular that he understood. Within two decades of the posting of Luther's 95 Theses, the Bible had been translated into German by Luther, into English by Tyndale and into French by the Waldensians. Within a century, the Geneva Bible, the Reina-Valera Bible and the King James Bible had all been translated.

As we commemorate the 500th anniversary of Luther's courageous actions in 1517, it behooves us to renew the passion for God's Word that enflamed reformers such as Luther and Tyndale, and that fortified persecuted churches such as the Waldensians. We invite you to join us as we search afresh the great doctrine of Bibliology in all of its facets - from inspiration and preservation, to inerrancy and infallibility. With insightful preaching from Dr James Bearss of On Target Ministry, Bill Greendyk and Ron Klaasen of the Trinitarian Bible Society, Pastor Doug Barger of the Indiana Baptist Historical Society and historian and author, Pastor Ovid Need, we believe that each session will serve to strengthen your faith in God's Word and intensify your love for Scripture. Mark your calendar for September 6 - 8, 2017, and make plans to attend every session! We look forward to seeing you there!
