Live Charity Art Auction - 2pm
Captain's Comic Expo is proud to partner with the Lowcountry Orphan Relief (LOR) as our featured charity. The LOR provides basic care items (clothes, toiletries, a few toys, etc) to Children in the Charleston area who are displaced from their homes. On Saturday at 2pm on the main stage, Mike and the team from the Expo will have a live auction where you can bid to win amazing original pieces of artwork, autographed books, and unique items with 100% of the money raised going directly to the LOR. It's an amazing opportunity to do good in our community while picking up a great piece of art.
Sunday will feature the Coolest Cosplay Day in Charleston with Special Guests on stage throughout the day. Come meet and greet with guests including Disney Princesses, Marvel and DC Heroes, and the SC Ghostbusters! The stage will have new friends appearing throughout the day, so be sure to visit the main stage to be a part of the fun!
BIGGEST Cosplay Contest in Charleston - 2pm
The contest will be broken down into 3 categories: All-Ages (for the younger crowd) Assembled (less than 50% of the costume handmade) Professional (more than 50% of the costume handmade)
The contest is judged by the complexity of the costume, accuracy to the spirit of the character, technical skill, presentation/performance of the wearer, and overall wow-factor! Contestants in the Professional category will speak with the judges about the costume and have a pre-judging session with the wow-factor taken into account during the stage portion. Check with the Cosplay team at the stage for other questions.
Signups are from 10am-1pm at the front of the stage, and there is no cost to participate!
Please check out www.captainscomicexpo.com for full lists of guests, vendors, and events at the Expo!

What is your policy on cosplay/costumes?

Costumes with masks/facepaint are allowed. However, please bring a photo ID. We will take a picture of guests in masks with their photo ID in the event that there is any concern. This allows everyone to have fun while giving accountability in case of question.
Real weapons are not allowed at CCE. Clearly-fake weapons are generally allowed with a brief inspection at the front. Please do not point or hit people with the weapons.
If you are unsure if something is allowed at the Expo, email questions to email@example.com or check with the staff at the door.
