The Capital Food & Wine Festival is a yearly, nonprofit fundraiser featuring more than 100 regional wines, dozens of beers and hard ciders, local restaurant fare and three stages of live music! Also popular and on site: the coveted RJ's Wine Cellar and well-loved O'Blarney's Sports Bar tent with big screen TV's. All totaled, a great event value. Hundreds of volunteers and dozens of local businesses make this event possible, now on it's 28th year running. A delicious, feel-good community celebration who's proceeds benefit Saint Martin's Alumni Association's academic student scholarships!
• SPECIAL live performance by Olympia's own Ethan Tucker (as seen on The Voice) and Band.
• Jazz, folk and classical musicians grace three stages throughout the venue.
• More than 100 regional wines will be uncorked to taste, and bottles for sale.
• More than 40 different beers on tap.
• NEW THIS YEAR: hard ciders!
• Diverse local restaurant fare will also be on hand, so come hungry!
• Exclusive wines will be featured at RJ's Wine Cellar in the Worthington Center.
• O'Blarney's Sports Bar tent adjoins the Pavilion with their own live music and big screen TV's.
WHAT IS SCRIP AND WHY IS IT USED?
WHAT COMES WITH A TICKET PURCHASE?
In case you are curious, in compliance with state liquor laws, we have to use scrip instead of real money when patrons wish to sample the alcohol. Since each bottle of wine costs different amounts of money, the number of scrip charged for each taste is in direct connection to the cost of the bottle of wine or beer. Restaurants select the price they charge to sample their food. We are fortunate to have a wonderful variety of restaurants (over 20) and you will have many options to consider should you want to try the food…which we hope you do. There will also be over 40 wineries and 10 microbreweries ready to provide a variety of their best as well. And they all cost something for the tastes.
The entry ticket cost includes a wine glass or beer glass, and all the other costs in organizing the festival are rolled into this price. We have now included your first $5 of scrip with your ticket purchase. Security, entertainment, renting of non-flammable curtains/table skirts, utilities, among many other things are all part of the ticket cost. We are proud of keeping this cost as low as possible and the prices have been in this range for over a decade.
NEW: FREE FESTIVAL POSTER WITH SCHOLARSHIP DONATIONS
With your donation of $20 or more to Saint Martin's Alumni Associations student scholarships, you'll receive a complimentary Thank You print of this year's 11x17" high-quality, short-run promotional poster. Add this option to your cart in the TICKETS section of this website, and a poster will be ready for you to pickup at the event. These donations are THE most direct way you can benefit hard-working students - period. Quench the thirst for knowledge. Add a donation and get a poster!
