Event Details

The Georgia Capital Defender is presenting “Telling the Client’s Story: Tools to Equip the Entire Defense Team” on October 21 - 23, 2019 at the Embassy Suites in Savannah, Georgia. This workshop will cover a wide range of topics such as Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs), traumatic brain injury and CTE, gangs, intellectual disability, police encounters with the mentally ill, DNA and other junk science. It will also feature professional storytellling coach Doug Lipman, who will conduct interactive training over parts of two days on advanced storytelling techniques tailored to Capital Defense. The goal is to equip every member of the defense team to help tell a compelling story for our clients.

This seminar is open only to capital criminal defense team members. Due to a limited seating capacity, criminal defense attorneys, mitigation specialists or fact investigators with a pending death penalty case will be given priority. If you are placed on a waiting list, you will be notified.
