Capital Branch 2012 Holiday Social
Wednesday, December 5, 2012 from 5:30 PM to 8:30 PM (PST)
We’re excited to host the Capital Branch Holiday Social at the studio of local Sacramento artist Marc Foster. Marc is an accomplished artist, creating sculpture, furniture and designing spaces with an eye for context and individuality. A raffle will be held to raise money for a planned community event in partnership with Soil Born Farms. Details to come. Prizes will include wine from Revolution Wines, gift certificates to local sustainably-managed business including Magpie Café and Hot Italian, and more.
We have much to celebrate in 2012. We hosted the Northern California Chapter Day at the Assembly where we worked with lawmakers on current issues. We hosted Roger Boulton and Kai-Uwe Bergmann as part of our VISIONARY series in partnership with AIA Central Valley. We toured the Maydestone Apartment Building Restoration, The MET High School Re-use, the McKenzie Solar Plant and the UC Davis West Village. And we learned about energy use and conservation from UC Davis's California Lighting Technology Center and Western Cooling Efficiency Center.
Please come, eat, drink and be merry with your local USGBC friends, enjoy a preview of Marc’s December 8th art show at his very own studio and help ring in an even more successful 2013. Heavy hors d'oeuvres, beer and wine will be served.
Tickets will be available at the door: Members: $25, Non-members: $40, Students: $25, Unemployed with proof: $25
