Course Title: The Hidden Benefits of a 5-Axis Mill
Speaker Name: Rob Nazzal
Course Number: 29975
Credit Hours: 2 Professional Development Credits
Year of Approval: 2014
The description for the course is as follows:
"When evaluating a mill to include in your dental laboratory, one of the key considerations is whether to go with a 4-axis or 5-axis mill. Although the vast majority of cases today can be milled using a 4-axis mill, it's critical to understand the importance of the remaining cases that require a fifth. There has been a growing trend toward more complex and comprehensive dentistry over the last 10 years, and this type of dentistry often requires a 5-axis mill for fabrication. To quantify this trend, CAP will present data from their own milling center to illustrate the benefits of implementing a 5-axis mill. Attendees will also learn how to accurately calculate the ROI of using a 5-axis mill based on as little as 5 units a day."
