Funds raised will support the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature and the Rafael López Community Mural.
Come early to enjoy live music, purchase Fresno State wines, assorted beers and other non-alcoholic beverages. Light refreshments will be served.
The ticket donation price is $55 and provides ALL the supplies needed to complete a 16”x20” painting as well as teacher fees and a canvas apron to take home.
Ms. Kaitlin Harada will be our painting teacher for the afternoon. Kaitlin, a Fresno State graduate and Employer Relations Coordinator for USC, has had an interest in art from a young age. Mostly self-taught, she wants to make art accessible for people of all skill levels.
What should I wear?
We provide a canvas apron for you to wear during the class and to take home. We will be using a non-toxic acrylic paint. This paint will stain clothing if not washed out immediately.
What time should I arrive at the event?
Doors open at 1:30. Come early to purchase Fresno State wines, assorted beers and other non-alcoholic beverages; light refreshments will be served. Painting will begin at 2:00. We recommend arriving 20-30 minutes early. This will allow you to check-in, find a seat and order drinks.
Are food and drinks included in the price of the ticket?
Drinks are not included, but there will be light refreshments.
What does the price of my ticket include?
In addition to all the paint supplies needed to complete your picture, teacher fees and a take-home apron, the funds raised will help support the Arne Nixon Center for the Study of Children's Literature at Fresno State and its community mural project. In the spring of 2017, award-winning children's illustrator, Rafael López will design and create a community mural in Fresno. Volunteers will be need to help prepare and paint the mural wall. Families will be welcome to come and paint and add color to a Fresno neighborhood!
Your donation will provide membership to the Arne Nixon Center Advocates, which includes a subscription to the Magic Mirror newsletter, advance notice of special events, and Community Borrower status with the Madden Library at Fresno State.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
Please bring either your printed ticket or mobile device with the ticket information.
What is the refund policy?
Payments are non-refundable and there are no refunds or credits for unused tickets. If you are unable to attend an event for which you purchased tickets under your name, you may give them to a friend to use (by changing the participant registration information on EventBrite up until 1 hour prior to the start of the event).
