What is Rucking?


Rucking or a Ruck March involves walking at a fast pace over rugged terrain with a weighted backpack.


A light Ruck is considered to be a march that covers a distance of 2-4 miles with an additional weight equal to 10-20% of your body weight.


A heavy Ruck is considered to be a march that covers a distance greater than 18 miles with an additional weight equal to 40% of your body weight.


Canuck Ruck has organized a series of events over the 2017 season. To help you get ready for the events we offer a training group that meets twice a week to increase your overall fitness and conditioning. Training with our group and with Team Leader Kelly will help you to get familiar with Rucking and will increase your physical and mental strength in preparation for our Endurance Ruck Courses.
