Canterbury Arts Conference 2017
Wed, 19 Jul 2017, 09:00 – Fri, 21 Jul 2017, 17:00 BST
The Canterbury Arts Conference (CArtsCon) is annual conference for the arts in historic Canterbury, England.
The theme for 2017 is "Art for Change". “Change” is typically seen as making something different, developing it, and/or moving it from one place or state to another. But “change” can also refer to loose coins — the few pennies we have left over — or to money in general.
Therefore, the topic for CArtsCon 2017 will fuse these concepts into a lively debate. This is a multi-disciplinary conference which means that we will cover everything from art history to fine arts to music to theatre to dance.
Apart from presentations, lectures, talks and workshops, CArtsCon 2017 will feature a short film festival, a café book reading and signing, a schools art competition, an industry panel, and a preview of a brand new musical about Christopher Marlowe.
CArtsCon 2017 will take place at the Canterbury Baptist Church and Warnborough College.
With a host of exciting speakers, CArtsCon is an arts conference you won't want to miss.
