Event description

Description

CLHA is pleased to present Canoemobile, facilitated by Wilderness Inquiry. Canoemobile is a “floating classroom” that will bring children (and adults!) out on Cedar Lake in 24-foot Voyageur canoes to learn about science, history, and geography. Participation is free but registration is preferred to avoid long wait lines. Contact us for more information at 219.390.9423.

We want to make sure your experience is as safe and enjoyable as possible. Please dress for the weather: rain jacket with hood or poncho, jacket or sweater, durable close-toed shoes (gym shoes acceptable), baseball cap or wide-brimmed hat to keep sun or rain off, sunglasses, and sunscreen. We have PFDs for children as small as 30 pounds. Anyone smaller than that could, in theory, still canoe but they would need to provide their own Coast Guard approved PFD. Arrive at least 10 minutes prior to your scheduled paddle to complete registration and liability waivers.
