Event description

Description

Canning and other home food preservation methods taught in four classes. If all four classes are taken, the students are qualified to take the Master Food Preserver examination.

October 10 : Canning Basics (Food Safety and Water bath fruit canning) (8:30 am to 2:30 pm)

October 12: Freezing, dehydrating and freeze-dryer (11:30 am to 2:30 pm)

October 13: Pressure canning; jams and jellies (8:30 am to 2:30 pm)

October 16: Tomatoes, Salsas and pickling (8:30 am to 2:30 pm)

October 20: Master Food Preserver Review and Exam (8:30 am to noon)
