Event description

Description

Join us for this informative evening! Our guest experts will share what they've learned through their professional practice about cannabis, its various strains and effects on the body, and the possible use of cannabis for anxiety and insomnia. You'll find out how a treatment plan is developed, the role of cannabis relative to other therapies, and what to consider if you are using other medications. Plus, learn about different dosage formats, and what to look for on a label so you know you're getting what you intended. We'll also hear how a knowledgeable cannabis-recommending health care provider would determine the ideal dose for an individual patient.

Speakers:

Nurse practitioner Maria Mangini, PhD, FNP, and Frank Lucido, MD, have provided primary care for more than 35 years. Since passage of the 1996 Compassionate Use Act (Prop 215), they have been performing medical cannabis consultations. Their experience and knowledge are rare, making these practitioners particularly valuable medical cannabis resources.

Doors open at 6:30, speakers begin at 7:00.
